SCHOLARSHIPS and DISCOUNTS
ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP
Entrance scholarship is given to elementary and senior high school (SHS) graduates who obtained an academic excellence award of With Highest Honor (98-100%) & graduated from a class of not less than fifty (50) students.
ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP / DISCOUNTS
COLLEGE
For bonafide students with a General Weighted Average (GWA) of not lower than 1.20 and 1.30 and must:
- be enrolled in full load of academic units as prescribed in the curriculum;
- have no grade lower than 2.0 for full scholar and 2.5 for partial scholar in any academic and/or non-academic courses;
- have no “dropped” remark in any course previously enrolled
HIGH SCHOOL
For entrance scholars who maintain a rank of With Highest Honor (98-100%) standing or those non-entrance scholars who consistently place With Highest Honor standing all throughout High School (Grade 7-12).
To apply for a scholarship, pls go to the Registrar’s Office for processing of your application. Deadline for submission is on the last day of enrollment.
OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS
PD #577 – AFP EDUCATIONAL BENEFIT
In accordance with the existing guidelines as provided for under PD #577, scholarship is granted to the dependants of military personnel.
PVAO, CHED, DEPED & LGUs FUNDED SCHOLARSHIPS
Other government funded scholarships provided by the PVAO, CHED, DEPED and LGUs are also available for eligible applicants.
To apply for a scholarship, pls go to the Registrar’s Office for processing of your application. Deadline for submission is on the last day of enrollment.
DISCOUNTS
Incentives are given to families with at least three siblings simultaneously enrolled at NCBA. Incentives are in the form of credit adjustments applied on the student accounts.

BASIC EDUCATION
DEPED / FAPE SUBSIDY


National College of Business and Arts is a participating institution of Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC). PEAC is the trustee of the Fund for Assistance to Private Education (FAPE) a perpetual fund created to provide assistance to private education in the country through Educational Service Contracting (ESC). ESC is a program by the Department of Education (DepEd) “to decongest overcrowded public junior high schools. To be a participating institution, NCBA must meet or exceed the minimum standards for quality education set by DepEd”. NCBA is visited and recertified as a participating institution every year to ensure that our education maintains the standard set by DepEd.
Currently, ESC recipient award is Php9,000 per student for Calabarzon and PHP13,000 per student for NCR.
Public high school student who wants to enroll in a private institution is encouraged and allowed by DepEd. For this purpose, NCBA is paid a voucher in the amount of Php17,500 per student for Calabarzon and Php22,500 per student for NCR.
To maintain these scholarships offered by DepEd, NCBA must continuously show improvement and sustain high quality of education.
ESC GRANT
WHAT IS ESC?
A program of financial assistance that provides ESC grants to qualified Junior High School (JHS) – Grades 7 to 10 learners in participating JHSs. NCBA is one of the participating schools of the ESC program.
WHO IS QUALIFIED TO BE AN ESC GRANTEE?
- Filipino citizen
- Elementary graduate from DepEd public school or private school with DepEd permit/recognition
- Incoming Grade 7 student (ALS A&E passer of elementary level)
- PEPT passer of Grade 6 level
- Has not been a recipient of the ESC in the previous school
WHAT ARE THE TERMS OF THE ESC GRANT?
- Four years of Junior High school starting grade 7
- No required maintaining grade, just need to be promoted to the next level.
- The grant is terminated if a grantee does any of the following:
- Fails to be promoted to the next level
- Drops out in the middle of the school year
- Does not reenroll the following school year
- Transfers to a non-ESC-participating JHS
- Suspended for more than two (2) weeks, dismissed or expelled by the ESC-participating JHS for disciplinary reasons.
- Transfers to another ESC-participating JHS are allowed
- In cases when the applicable subsidy amount of the releasing school is different from that of the accepting school, the accepting school will be paid the lower of the two applicable subsidy amounts.
- Grantees that drop out due to death of a parent or guardian, force majeure, prolonged illness, or accident may be reinstated in the ESC program, provided they submit relevant documents to the PEAC NS.
SHS VOUCHER
WHAT IS A SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL VOUCHER PROGRAM?
A program of financial assistance that provides subsidy to qualified Senior High School (SHS) – Grades 11 to 12 learners in participating private or non-DepEd public SHSs. NCBA is one of the participating schools of the voucher program.
WHO ARE QUALIFIED VOUCHER RECIPIENTS?
- AUTOMATICALLY QUALIFIED LEARNERS/STUDENTS:
- Category A: All Grade 10 completers in Public JHSs
- Category B: All Grade 10 completers in SUCs and LUCs
- Category C: All Grade 10 completers in private schools who are ESC grantees
A-B-C completers do not have to apply for vouchers.
- VOUCHER APPLICANTS (VAs)
- Category D: All Grade 10 completers in private schools who are not ESC grantees
- Category E: Learners who passed the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Accreditation & Equivalency (A&E) test for Grade 10 by the start of the school year.
- Category F: Learners who passed the Philippine Education Placement Test (PEPT) for Grade 11 by the start of the school year.
D-E-F are required to apply for vouchers.
