On October 7, 2024, the National College of Business and Arts (NCBA) officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) at the NCBA Cubao campus to launch a series of blood donation drives across its Cubao, Fairview, and Taytay campuses. This partnership aims to promote volunteerism and community service by encouraging students, faculty, and staff to become blood donors, providing essential support to the Pediatric Blood Center of PCMC.

Key figures from both institutions attended the signing ceremony. Representing NCBA were Dr. Angeles de Guzman, Chief Academic Officer, and Dr. Djonito S. Ursua, College Dean. From PCMC, Dr. Maria Mystica Flodalyn T. Bautista, Head of the Pediatric Blood Center, and Dr. Joana Paula Artaiz-Pido, Resident Pathologist, were present.

This collaboration seeks to inspire the NCBA community to actively participate in blood donation, contributing to the vital needs of the pediatric department at PCMC. By participating, donors directly support young patients in need of life-saving medical care.

NCBA’s initiative reflects its ongoing commitment to fostering social responsibility and encouraging its students to engage in meaningful acts of community service. The blood donation drives are a powerful step toward making a lasting impact on both the local community and the broader healthcare system.
