On November 27, 2024, the NCBA Garden was filled with the warmth and joy of the Yuletide season as the NCBA community came together for the much-anticipated Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
The evening began with inspiring messages from Dr. Angeles A. de Guzman, Chief Academic Officer, and Dr. Djonito S. Ursua, College Dean, who shared heartfelt reflections on the true value of the holiday season—community, generosity, and love. Dr. Angeles led the countdown, sparking excitement as the Christmas lights illuminated the campus, symbolizing the hope and joy that Christmas brings.
The ceremony, led by CWTS Batch Alpas President Razel Ann Vecina, highlighted the essence of unity and giving. The rationale behind the event was clear—to foster a spirit of togetherness and light up the lives of the NCBA community during the most wonderful time of the year.
A Winter Wonderland Come to Life
This year’s Winter Wonderland theme transformed the NCBA Garden into a magical space, featuring three towering Christmas trees adorned with dazzling garlands, shimmering snowflakes, colorful Christmas balls, and elegant gift boxes. The intricate designs captured the season’s enchantment, creating a picturesque backdrop for the evening’s festivities.
Christmas Carol Competition
Adding to the festive spirit, students from different departments showcased their talent and creativity in the Christmas Carol Competition. With harmonies that resonated through the air, each performance reflected the joy and warmth of the holiday season, making it a night to remember.
Heartwarming Closing
As the ceremony concluded, the NCBA community left with hearts full of gratitude and joy, reminded of the true essence of the holidays. In the words of Dr. Angeles A. de Guzman, “Christmas is not just about the lights and decorations; it’s about the light we bring into each other’s lives. Let this season inspire us to spread kindness, love, and hope wherever we go.”
Let’s continue to celebrate this festive season with the spirit of giving, unity, and joy!
