Blood banks continually experience various problems such as old-fashioned inventory management systems, wrong stock counting, unapproved access, scheduling conflicts with donation center operating hours, high demand during emergencies leading to shortages  and slow communication in critical situations. All these problems might result in a significant shortage of blood, overstocked blood units with no use, and delays in medical operations which can be fatal.

The B.A.S.I.C project takes care of these problems by creating a platform that is integrated, secure, and automated for blood inventory monitoring that is smooth. The system is using biometric authentication and real-time updates, therefore accountability is enhanced, sensitive data is protected, and blood units are tracked accurately. The project is also helping students in applied technology to get training and it is providing healthcare institutions with modern tools to improve patient care outcomes. B.A.S.I.C. is an innovative solution that connects academic expertise with real-world healthcare needs.

The Blood Availability System with Integrated Control (B.A.S.I.C.) is a cutting-edge initiative that leverages technology to transform blood bank inventory monitoring via a web- and mobile-based application. The system guarantees 24/7 visibility of blood stock levels, precisely secured access through biometrics, and quick emergency alerts to quicker, safer, and more precise management of blood supplies. B.A.S.I.C. aims to tackle the issues of shortages, wastage, and slow clinical decision-making by bringing together digital tracking, security measures, and communication systems that can react promptly.

The project not only increases the efficiency of operations in blood centers but also gives students and faculty the chance to obtain hands-on experience in system development, healthcare informatics, and community safety. In the long run, B.A.S.I.C. is a significant step in improving healthcare delivery, nurturing technological innovation and strengthening partnerships between the academic, healthcare, and government sectors.
