Last December 2, 2017, the National College of Business and Arts held an Outreach Program that extended its hands to the children of Brgy. Escopa III. The Outreach Program was spearheaded by the COP Directress Ms. Catherine M. Calamlam, and supervised by the Assistant Vice President for Marketing and Linkages Mrs. Mariflor M. Uber. For over 1 week, the Elementary and High School students gave up their old toys and books for the less fortunate could enjoy upon. The entire department even donated candies, cookies, and other sweets. The program started at exactly 9:00 am after a few words from Ms. Calamlam, and the festivities commenced. Games for both the kids and adults were played. Everyone had a great time! One of the High School Assembly Officers wowed the guests through a medley of Christmas songs, and selected students from the High School department performed a special dance number. At about 10:15 am, the kids, together with their parents, had their snacks, while the acting officers of the event started the gift giving. After they had their snacks, our AVP for Marketing and Linkages Mrs. Mariflor M. Uber gave her closing remarks. Before the guests from Brgy. Escopa III could leave, they were given groceries and more toys for the kids. The program ended at 11:10 am and everyone left with a huge smile on their face.
I would say that the Community Outreach Program was successful and that it showed how our leaders like Ms. Calamlam, and Mrs. Uber loved the community.
